Accessibility
Public information should remain usable without special interaction knowledge.
RuleOak.com uses a deliberately simple static structure intended to work with keyboard navigation, browser zoom/text reflow, reduced-motion preferences and assistive technology.
Current design measures
- Semantic heading hierarchy and ordinary links instead of interaction-heavy custom widgets.
- A visible-on-focus skip link to the main content.
- Keyboard-visible focus indicators.
- Important meaning is not intentionally encoded by colour alone.
- Layouts collapse to a single column on narrow screens.
- Code and tables can scroll horizontally instead of clipping content.
- Core content remains usable without JavaScript.
- Reduced-motion preferences disable smooth scrolling.
Content accessibility
Technical pages aim to define terms before using them heavily, distinguish examples from claims, and state limitations in text rather than relying on badges alone.
Qualification boundary
This source package does not claim independent WCAG certification. Browser/device/screen-reader testing remains deployment evidence. If you encounter a barrier, include the affected URL, device/browser or assistive technology, and a concise description of what prevented access.
